The Kerzner@UJ boasts 6 Conference and Meeting Rooms

Located at the Auckland Park Bunting Road Campus, the Kerzner Building has meeting rooms designed ideally suited for the ideally suited for the academic, corporate meetings and events market. Our adaptable conference rooms are perfect to host seminars, exhibitions, product launches, press conferences and business banquets. These conference and meeting rooms are equipped with multi-media technology to host virtual and/or hybrid events all customized according to our client needs.

Stellenbosch Executive Room

In this plush, exclusive private dining and meeting room, with an extraordinary view overlooking the Parktown area, ordinary events turn into special occasions. Video conferencing and conference calling is available in this venue as well as a data projector and screen.

The Stellenbosch Room is an executive boardroom, which seats up to 20 guests.  This space is ideal for smaller and more formal meetings or gatherings and includes facilities for video conferencing.

The adoption of the name Stellenbosch, comes from the referred partnership and collaboration that the School of Tourism and Hospitality has had with The Stellenbosch Wine Routes over the years.

Conference Room 1 & 2​

The spacious flow of our Conference Rooms could be combined or booked individually. The versatile space can be used for conferences, dinners, exhibitions and weddings.

This venue can take a minimum of 30 -100 in the individual room and 60 – 200 combined. The conference rooms can be set up in cinema style, U shape, Boardroom style, town hall and banquet style.

The individual room can accommodate 100 in cinema style, 60 schoolroom 30 in U shape 36 Boardroom style, 80 in a cocktail set up and 60 banquet style.

The combined conference rooms can take 200 in cinema style, 120 schoolroom ,60 U-Shape, 160 cocktail and 100 in banquet style. It is adjacent to the Kerzner Bistro, where you can enjoy our famous chef’s selection buffet lunch

Auditorium

The Auditorium is located below the Waterford Restaurant, with an indoor foyer leading into this fully upholstered 147 seater auditorium which lends itself to seminars , presentations , full day conferences and public lectures .The venue comes standard with a data projector and screen , audio can be arranged at an additional charge.

Three advanced venues. Seating 25 delegates each and a boardroom seating 16, are nestled behind a private glass door allowing you a tranquil space for your smaller conferences and meetings. Venues are fully equipped with standard audio visual (data projector and screen).

Compass Group Culinary Theatre

A state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen, equipped to allow for theoretical, practical lectures, product development and testing.

Empact Group Culinary Theatre (seats 54)

Center for Culinary Excellence (CCE) in collaboration with SACA

The Center for Culinary Excellence provides facilities, which can be used for team building activities, product activations workshops and demonstrations. It is also an ideal space for Chefs and hospitality professionals looking for kitchen space to rent.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen is fitted out with stainless equipment similar too an industrial kitchen. There are four (4) workstations, which can accommodate 16 guests at a time. The kitchen it equipped with gas and electricity. The kitchen also has a walk- in fridge/freezer.

THE THEATRE

The theatre is used for lectures and demonstrations. There is a DEMO station at the front of the theatre with a fat fryer, gas/electric stoves as well as a flattop griller. It includes a 10-tray rational oven and an under-counter fridge.

A classroom-style seating can accommodate 20 guests. Cinema style seating (with chairs only) can accommodate up to 40 guests. A banqueting round-table seating style can accommodate up to 40 guests.
